A message from Dr. Shark:
I am Dr. Shark – illustrator and multimedia designer. My artwork is created by using various media and art forms: illustrations, albums cover art, comics, cartoons, characters design, graphics, graphic design, mixed media, video, music… whatever it fits the idea or the concept or the feeling. Or the idea of the concept of the feeling. Or none of these things, but something entirely different.
21000 years ago, I designed album covers and made illustrations for obscure punk/alternative/indie bands from Yugoslavia. You can’t get more obscure than that! It was exclusive engagement for a particular small indie label called Mr. Montenegro Records. One of the most notable and recognizable cover artworks, among our devotees, was the cover for The Liberators’ ”Green Limousine” 7” vinyl EP.
If you’ve heard about it, you must be one of the hardest-core craziest S.O.B. fans of anything punk/underground/garage/alternative/noise/rock ‘n’ roll, which is AMAZING! And if you have never had a slightest clue about Dr. Shark – hey, you do now. And that’s amazing too!
And now, behold yo in awe! I, Dr. Shark, am back, commencing the public release, for THE VERY FIRST TIME, of my main artworks I made for Mr. Montenegro Records. Yes, of all those crazy illustrations and cover artworks, all the freaky crucial badass ones are available now as an exclusive series of art prints.
When we made those releases we were kids, we belived in them and we thought we were making something good, fresh, a bit provocative, edgy and cool and we liked what we did. Recently I thought, wouldn’t it be interesting to see, how would people like it today? So I decided to release the artwork publicly, literally for the first time ever separately from the music releases, just as stand-alone art pieces – as quality art prints to all those who would really like it, appreciate it, enjoy it, relate to it. So I’m very excited to share all of this with you.
